Hello there! For Friday we have collected 16 free events taking place in and around London.
For starters 
if you love cheese and wine you shouldn’t miss The Cheese and Wine Festival at Southbank Centre. For three days (27 – 29 April 2012) there will be lots of free cookery demonstrations, talks, tastings and other events related to cheese and wine.
For the artistic and creative we feature events taking place at the National Gallery:
- a Talk and Create workshop (1pm) where inspired by Jacopo di Cione and workshop “Adoring Saints: Left Main Tier Panel” you will have the opportunity to create your own embossed metal artwork. Even materials will be provided for free!
- a 10-minute talk on Raphael’s painting “The Procession to Calvary” (4pm, free)
- a Talk and Draw workshop (6.30pm) where inspired by Mantegna’s painting “The Introduction of the Cult of Cybele at Rome” you will have the opportunity to create your own masterpiece! Even materials will be provided for free!
- PLUS the daily free guided tours of the Victoria and Albert Museum (highly recommended) and the National Gallery ones; on Fridays there is an extra, late (7pm) tour at The National Gallery; a great way to spend your evening!
For the lovers of close harmony there is a free gig with with Perunika, an a cappella vocal female trio blending Orthodox chants and Balkan/Russian traditional songs (National Theatre, 5.45pm).
